Winter Farmers’ Market


The 2021 Winter Farmers’ Market will be held outdoors at Mary Costa Plaza (Knoxville Civic Auditorium-Coliseum). The outdoor market will host vendors selling pasture-raised meats, eggs, winter produce, honey, baked goods, artisan crafts, and more on the plaza. Food and coffee trucks will be vending to-go style meals and beverages on Howard Baker Jr. Avenue.

We offer SNAP benefit doubling through the national program Double Up Food Bucks! Customers with SNAP benefits (formerly known as food stamps) can receive up to $20/day in FREE tokens to spend on fresh fruits and vegetables at the market. FREE Children’s Activity at every winter market! Children 2 years to 12 years old are invited to participate in the Nourish Kids Club activity at each of our 8 markets. Each NK Club activity will be in a take-home format and will feature local produce to sample, an activity or craft dealing with the local food system, and receive $5 in Produce Bucks to spend on fresh fruits and vegetables at the market. Parking and Transportation:

FREE parking is available in Garage A and B, across Howard Baker Jr. Avenue from Mary Costa Plaza. Additional FREE parking is available along Howard Baker Jr. Avenue.

We are on the FREE, KAT trolley Blue Line and just a short walk (1 block) from the KAT Transfer Station.

About the Venue:

Since opening its doors in 1961, the Knoxville Civic Auditorium and Coliseum (KCAC) has been an important part of the city’s entertainment scene. The venue has hosted musicals, theatrical productions, sporting events, circuses, and concerts featuring such notable performers as the Rolling Stones, Stevie Wonder, and Jimmy Buffett.

The facility draws an eclectic crowd of more than 250,000 people per year through a wide array of events. It is home to the Knoxville Ice Bears, four-time Southern Professional Hockey League champions. It also hosts Disney on Ice, Disney Live!, the Knoxville Symphony Orchestra Pops Series, and a variety of musicals and concerts suited to large and small audiences.
