FAQ: New Harvest Farmers’ Market

  • Q: Is the market open when it’s raining?

A: All of our farmers’ markets are open rain, shine, or snow! In the event of dangerous weather, the market may be delayed or canceled. Please follow us on Facebook or Instagram to find up-to-date information, or give us a call at 865-805-8687, ext. 1.

  • Q: Are public restrooms available?

A:  Yes – public restrooms are available outside the New Harvest Community Building (near the splash pad & playground).

  • Q: Are pets allowed at the NHFM?

A:  Well-behaved domestic pets are permitted at the New Harvest Farmers’ Market. Pets must remain on a leash six feet or shorter at all times. Pet owners are required to pick up after their pets and properly dispose of any pet-related waste. Poorly-behaved pets may be asked to leave.

  • Q: Do you accept SNAP/EBT?

A: Yes – we accept SNAP through a centralized program at our information booth and some of our vendors accept SNAP individually. We also offer a Double Up SNAP program that allows SNAP participants to double their food dollars for fresh fruits and vegetables. Please visit the Programs tab for more information.

  • Q: Do your vendors accept credit/debit cards?

A: Most vendors accept cards, but not all. We offer a Market Money program at all Nourish Knoxville farmers’ markets where customers, for a $2 fee, can swipe their card at our information booth and receive $5 tokens that spend like cash at any Nourish Knoxville farmers’ market.

  • Q: Do you allow busking at the farmers’ market?

A: Yes, please see our busking page for details. No amplified music is permitted.

  • Q: What does “producer-only” mean?

A: A producer-only market is one in which all items are grown, raised, and/or made by the vendor. Nourish Knoxville may allow vendors to share a booth, where two independently-accepted producers sell their products under one tent, and where only one of the producers is on-site at a time. All Nourish Knoxville markets are producer-only.
