Market Square Farmers’ Market 20th Anniversary

“The market is one of the reasons I knew I could live in Knoxville”

Celebrating 20 years of local food in downtown Knoxville

For 20 years we have brought the Market Square Farmers’ Market to our community, through rain, recession, and even a pandemic. A place to shop. A place to gather. A place that feels like home. We have big plans at Nourish this year including new exciting events, loving tributes to the MSFM we know and love, partnerships with downtown businesses, new murals, and fun for the young and young-at-heart.

Market Love Letters

ALL May

Partnering with the Downtown Knoxville Alliance, you will be able to share what you love most about the people, food, vendors, artists, and sights of Market Square Farmers’ Market in a mailbox hand-painted by Paris Woodhull (who also found her own start at the MSFM!). Just drop by the mailbox located in Market Square in May and drop your note, drawing, poetry, or picture. There will also be a template you can download to make sharing your love easy!

This new dining experience will be held at the beautiful hilltop of the Mabry-Hazen House Museum on June 7 and interweave stories of the history of Market Square, Evelyn Mabry-Hazen’s integral role in saving our beloved market space, and the food that creates the unique taste and flavors of East Tennessee. Join us for immersive storytelling from Mabry-Hazen House Museum Executive Director Patrick Hollis, a family-style meal, and a celebration of 20 years of the MSFM! Stay tuned for more details!
