Nourish Knoxville

Friends & Farmers

Once a year in the picturesque East TN Fall season, we say “thank you” to all those who give Nourish Knoxville ongoing support. Friends & Farmers is our annual family-friendly celebration and appreciation event and our favorite way to give back and show gratitude for your support.

Whether you’ve donated to support our work, sponsored our nutrition incentive programs, supported the Local Food Guide, volunteered at Veggie Valet, been a vendor at one of our markets, or all of the above, you are a valuable member of the local food system, and we couldn’t do it without you!

Friends & Farmers 2022

This year’s Friends and Farmers was held on Sunday, October 23, 2022, at the beautiful century-old Strong Stock Farm. A working cattle farm established in 1791, Strong Stock Farm sits along the Holston River with views of East Tennessee’s natural beauty. It wouldn’t be a Nourish Knoxville celebration without some tasty treats and activities including:

  • Live music from the Tennessee Sheiks in the Party Barn
  • Delicious locally sourced, plant-based snacks by Jenna Baker of Vid’l
  • Fall-themed craft cocktails and mocktails from Libacious
  • Craft beer made with seasonal ingredients by Wild Spaces Brewing
  • Seasonally inspired ice cream from Nolan Sherrill of Phoenix Pharmacy and Fountain
  • Cozy fires pits for that perfect fall ~ambiance~
  • Horse-drawn wagon rides around the farm
  • Yard games for the competitive and activity-lover
  • A CAKE WALK starting at 4:30 pm at the Party Barn (bring a homemade or local-business-made cake or ANY dessert. Babka, donuts, fruits, pies, all accepted!)
